...yesterday was our one month anniversary. Where does the time go? Jason blogged about the highlights of our honeymoon and I can gladly say that we both still have our rings and do not have strep throat anymore, so we are doing good!
After returning from the honeymoon, life got crazy real fast! Jason went back to Colorado Springs and I stayed in Minnesota in order to work out of Deloitte's Minneapolis office. So, we spent a week and a half apart right after returning from our honeymoon. During that time, we arranged for movers to come to my house and our storage unit, which housed most of Jason's stuff, in order to move it to Colorado Springs. However, it took nearly 2 weeks for them to complete the transport, so we only just got our stuff delivered to Colorado Springs a few days ago! In the meantime, we have been sleeping in borrowed beds, cooking with one pot and eating off of Rubbermaid containers instead of a kitchen table.
On June 1st, I started a project in the Memphis, Tennessee area so have been traveling each week to work in Memphis Monday - Thursday. We have spent the past 2 weekends together, running errands, living in our unfurnished townhouse in Colorado Springs, church shopping, going for walks, driving and admiring the amazing mountain views and learning how to live together as a married couple, when we are actually together! We realized today that although we are paying for 3 houses, we are both actually living in hotels this week, for work. Really?
Our top priority for our first year of marriage is definitely uncomplicatating our lives! Check back often for updates on how we are doing with that.
